Information on Electrical and Electronic (Waste) Devices
The following information is intended for private households that use electrical and/or electronic devices. Please take note of these important guidelines to ensure environmentally friendly disposal of waste devices and for your own safety.
1. Information on the Disposal of Waste Electrical Devices and the Meaning of the Symbol According to Annex 3 of the ElektroG:
Owners of waste devices must dispose of them separately from unsorted household waste. Electrical and electronic waste must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, should not be thrown into household waste bins. Instead, such waste devices must be collected separately and disposed of through local collection and return systems.
Owners of waste devices must also remove old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the device, as well as lamps that can be removed without damage, before submitting them to a collection point.
The symbol specified in Annex 3 of the ElektroG helps owners identify devices that must be collected separately at the end of their lifecycle. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic devices is a crossed-out wheeled bin, designed as follows:
2. Information on the Possibility of Returning Waste Devices for End Users:
When purchasing a new electrical device from us that is not delivered to a private household, and when purchasing a new device in categories 3, 5, and/or 6 exclusively via remote communication means (§ 312c (2) BGB) with delivery to a private household, you have the option to return an old device of the same type, which essentially fulfills the same functions as the new device, free of charge.
This option is also available independently of purchasing a new electrical or electronic device for waste devices that do not exceed 25 centimeters in any external dimension. In this case, the return option for end users is limited to three waste devices per type.
For sales conducted exclusively through remote communication means (§ 312c (2) BGB), under the above conditions, the return of:
- Waste devices in categories 3, 5, and/or 6
- Waste devices that do not exceed 25 centimeters in any external dimension
is provided through suitable return options within a reasonable distance from the respective end user.
Otherwise, the return takes place at the point of delivery or in its immediate vicinity.
We have created the following return options to fulfill our obligations:
You can drop off the device at our store in Limburg or send it back to us free of charge. To do so, create a free return label at https://shop.krueger-motoparts.com/retouren.
Owners of waste devices from private households can also return them at collection points set up by public waste disposal authorities or at collection points established by manufacturers or distributors under the ElektroG.
3. Data Protection Notice
Waste devices to be disposed of may contain sensitive personal data (such as on a PC or smartphone), which must not fall into the hands of third parties.
We explicitly point out that end users of waste devices are responsible for deleting personal data from the devices before disposal.
