Paint Primer – Optimal Preparation for Sealants

The paint can either be cleaned after treatment with Q2M Prep or directly coated after a curing time of 24 hours - or 12 hours at room temperature. In our tests, Gyeon Q2 Primer has proven to be a better alternative to the similarly effective CarPro Essence. When processing high-solvent coatings like the High-End Coatings from Gtechniq, the curing time of at least 12 hours must be strictly adhered to!

In car care, it's quite rare to find a product that is both unique and universally applicable, making it hard to categorize. That’s the case with Prima Amigo. Prima Amigo: Mild Paint Cleaner Prima Amigo contains cleaning agents that gently remove oxidation, contaminants, dead paint, and deeply embedded dirt. This performance is achieved completely free from abrasives, meaning no grinding agents that would wear away the clear coat. It’s also suitable for removing mineral deposits like water spots. Application on car paint can be done with a hand polishing pad like the Detail Passion Puck or a dual-action polisher using a soft to medium-hard foam pad at a maximum medium speed. Any excess Prima Amigo can be polished off with a soft polishing cloth. Degreasing is usually not necessary, as the polymer-based color refreshment is compatible with common spray sealants, waxes, and liquid sealants. However, if a solvent-based long-term sealant is to be applied after cleaning, degreasing should be done as usual. Prima Amigo: Super Smooth Gloss Polish As a polymer-based gloss polish - referred to as glaze in professional jargon - Prima Amigo fills in fine scratches and swirls, leaving a super smooth finish on vehicle paint. However, we’d like to provide some examples. Oxidized and Streaky Chrome and Aluminum Trim - With and Without Clear Coat, Matte and Glossy Many vehicles from premium German manufacturers like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are equipped with shiny chrome trims or matte aluminum trims.
