The new Intermediate polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the well-known technology of thermally stable or heat-resistant foam. They are designed for polishing jobs in a One Step pass and for correcting paint defects on softer clearcoats such as those from Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue Thermopads feature an extremely fine open-cell foam structure and impress with an unprecedented balance between fast material removal and excellent finish.

It is challenging to precisely categorize the blue Intermediate foam within the existing foam list. In many cases, the Intermediate polishing pad delivers the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. In tests, the Intermediate Therminator polishing pads also achieved perfect results in the preparation of PPF protective films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion taps into the hype of so-called thermally stable or heat-resistant polishing pads, while also realizing its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are clear. Continuously controllable paint or clearcoat removal during the polishing process is ensured because the foam does not lose its compression hardness due to heat exposure. This means that even at higher RPMs, the pressure can be maintained, and thus there is no drop in cutting performance. The cell structure is also preserved, leading to optimal cooling and minimized compression. Based on experience with extremely fast heavy cut polishes like 3D Car Care 510 and the versatile 3D One Hybrid, Detail Passion has implemented special additional features in the polishing foam.

Super Heavy Cut to Finish: DP Pro Therminator Polishing Pads for Rotary and Random Orbital Use

Unlike other polishing pads made of thermally stable foam, the composition of the DP Pro Therminators places particular emphasis on the cell structure and distribution of the polish. Despite the advantages of conventional thermopads, uneven or no distribution of the polish can occur during starting or spreading due to the cell structure. Particularly with medium-hard pads, this can quickly lead to undesirable dry polishing. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for large orbit machines like the Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE, and produce, depending on the choice, an impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can optionally be complemented with heavy cut polishing pads made from hybrid wool or microfiber or used as a complete solution.
