EXOv5 is, as the name suggests, the 5th generation of Gtechniq's EXO ceramic coating. Also known as the "Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating," it has been recognized for years as an extremely water-repellent, highly smooth, and glossy ceramic sealant for vehicle paint. The latest version sets new standards in coating technology, achieving more than 40% enhanced dirt repulsion, an astonishing contact angle of 115 degrees (extremely strong beading effect), significant gloss enhancement, exceptional paint smoothness, and an even simpler application.

Latest Nanotechnology for Ceramic Paint Protection
The development of EXOv5 took more than 3 years. The outcome of extensive formulations, laboratory and practical tests is a coating that provides users, both private and professional detailers, with an unprecedented overall performance. EXOv5 exceeds expectations in both individual disciplines and overall assessments. Gtechniq uses specific raw materials and additives for EXOv5 and consciously distances itself from the supposed hype surrounding graphene, nanofibers (borophene, nanodiamonds). Instead of succumbing to marketing buzzwords, they focused on further development with their experience as market leaders. Under the direction of chemist Lee Kennedy, they developed the Lee-Kennedy Test Protocol. This testing protocol achieves significant alignment between laboratory tests and field tests on trial vehicles for the first time. Through this protocol, EXOv5 was specifically optimized for dirt and oil repulsion. EXOv5 has already set the benchmark for dirt repulsion, and the bar has now been raised significantly.
Single Layer Coating or Topping for Crystal Lacquer C1, Crystal Serum Light, and Crystal Serum Ultra
EXOv5 can be used as a single layer coating or as a topping for other Gtechniq coatings. As a single-layer coating, EXOv5 already delivers all and more protective effects than was previously achieved with Crystal Serum Light and two layers of EXOv4. When used on Crystal Serum Light, EXOv5 significantly extends durability. Thanks to Anticlogging, it prevents the coating from clogging and losing its protective effects due to excessive dirt. Subsequently, EXOv5 shows significant dirt beading and sheeting. Essentially, the application process of EXOv5 follows the known application method of EXOv4. However, there is no need for redistributing or intensive wiping since EXOv5, due to its more modern solvents, does not leave a gray haze that requires polishing away.

Generally, the application of EXOv5 should take place in a garage or hall. The surface should be polished and cleaned. First, degrease the surfaces immediately before coating with Gtechniq Panel Wipe PW or another suitable degreaser. Ensure adequate lighting so you can inspect the treated areas. Wear protective gloves and ensure proper ventilation. Drip about 5-10 drops onto the included AP2 applicator. Optionally, process EXOv5 in circular or cross lines. For a particularly even application, we recommend starting circularly and then directly following with a cross line, finishing in the driving direction. Wait 1-2 minutes and then polish EXOv5 to a high gloss with light pressure. We recommend a so-called level first, which means a rough wipe, then circularly polish with light pressure. After 5-15 minutes, check the area again and polish if necessary. Handle all surfaces to be coated in the same manner. If your microfiber towels become too full, use a new set of towels. If you have experience with EXOv4, please note that EXOv5 dries faster and is chemically more resistant. Please observe the following waiting times if treating an area previously coated with Crystal Serum Light, Crystal Serum Ultra, Crystal Lacquer C1, or EXOv5:
- EXOv5 on Crystal Serum Light: > 1 hour
Allow Crystal Serum Light to cure for at least one hour before applying EXOv5. Crystal Serum Light must be fully processed and polished. - EXOv5 on Crystal Serum Ultra: > 1 hour
Allow Crystal Serum Ultra to cure for at least one hour before applying EXOv5. Crystal Serum Ultra must be fully processed and polished. - EXOv5 on Crystal Lacquer C1: > 4 hours, but < 12 hours
Allow Crystal Lacquer C1 to cure for at least four hours, but not longer than 12 hours before applying EXOv5. Crystal Lacquer C1 must be fully processed and polished. - EXOv5 on EXOv5: > 1 hour
If you want to layer EXOv5, allow it to cure for at least 1 hour between layers. Each layer must be fully processed and polished.

Wer nicht oft waschen möchte, ist hier richtig. Die Versiegelung hält den Lack sauber und glänzend, ohne viel Aufwand.
