Ceramic Base is a high-strength protective coating that is extremely hard and remarkably durable. It prevents scratches and holograms that can occur through cleaning and everyday use on vehicles with gelcoats. Ceramic Coat forms a permanent, chemical bond with the gelcoat and significantly enhances the gloss level and paint smoothness.

This product is part of the new Gtechniq Marine Series for boats, private yachts, and water sports vehicles.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Ceramic Base should only be used as a base layer for Ceramic Top and not as a standalone coating if high paint smoothness and hydrophobia are expected. If a single-layer coating is to be used, only use Ceramic Top. Please allow the Ceramic Base to cure completely for at least 12 hours after application. For ideal conditions, the paint should be in good condition; if necessary, remove paint defects by polishing. Ceramic Base adheres best to cleaned surfaces. Use Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a Gtechniq MF1 microfiber to remove all polishing residues. Dab the application pad with the product and work in sections of 0.5 sqm. Gtechniq's ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth MF1 features a short-pile, knitted fiber structure with a high polyamide content. MF1 is the optimal cloth for removing residues from sensitive, high-gloss surfaces. The increased polyamide content (30% compared to 10% in standard cloths) and split fibers ensure that MF1 is particularly effective in removing residues. Additionally, MF1 is significantly softer than standard cloths. The hem is also made from the base material, reducing the risk of damage from edges to nearly zero. Gtechniq Panel Wipe PW is a preparatory surface cleaner for paints that perfectly prepares the surface for subsequent chemically bonding coatings based on ceramic, natural, or other synthetic components. Panel Wipe PW removes all polishing residues such as polishing oils, lubricants, and other contaminations that could negatively impact a sealant. Paint cleaner for subsequent ceramic coatings Promotes the chemical bonding of sealants Free from fragrances and colorants Economical, highly concentrated application PW is a mixture of ultra-pure alcohols and solvents designed to dissolve, bind, and remove polishing residue while evaporating afterwards. The application of PW differs from competitor products primarily in that Panel Wipe is sprayed onto a microfiber cloth rather than directly on the paint, which is then wiped down.
