Unlike other systems, the cleaning of polishing pads can be carried out directly with the polisher in hand. This prevents polishing residue from drying and optimizes workflow. The patented Pure Flo technology is a closed-loop cleaning system. The user controls how much cleaning liquid flows into the system by pressing the pump. The support pad with a Velcro attachment of 50mm is suitable for the eccentric and rotary applications of the Flex PXE and can be used with compatible polishing pads from Rupes, Flex, Detail Passion, and Lake Country. Differences between the 30mm, 50mm, and 75mm support pads Flex continues to provide the PXE 80 sets with a 30mm support pad and supplies 40mm polishing pads for this, which leads to some instability as these pads do not adhere laterally to the support pad. The 75mm support pad is not approved for use with rotary applications due to the high stress on the ball bearing, although many users use the corresponding safety pin to make it work. The new dampened 50mm support pad can be used both rotatively and eccentrically, but not with 30 or 40mm polishing pads, as there is a risk of the pad being damaged and the support pad then coming into contact with the paint.
