The new HDO CCS Pads from market leader Lake Country combine two of their best technologies for high-quality polishing work. For several years, HDO Pads have been known as the unmatched benchmark in the industry, thanks to the combination of highly durable foams, heat dissipation, and pressure stability. HDO stands for "Heavy Duty Orbital", indicating that this technology was primarily developed for modern dual-action and forced rotation polishers.
Another key technology provided by Lake Country is CCS, which stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The surface of CCS is designed with small pockets that, through a special process, exhibit a closed cell structure internally, even though the foam of the polishing pad is otherwise open-pored. This feature allows for a significantly more efficient use of polish with CCS Pads. The polish penetrates into the pocket but not into the polishing pad itself, allowing for a much longer working time. At the same time, the cell structure is better cooled, and the pad cannot dry out due to the drying polish. With the new HDO CCS Pads, both technologies are available in one pad series. The US manufacturer surprises the market, as the production keeps the pads at the same price level as "ordinary" HDO Pads.

From 130mm, the Lake Country HDO CCS Pads are equipped with a heat-dissipating center chamber and a milling hole for further cooling and precise positioning. While the Lake Country HDO CCS Pads are 30-40% more expensive than the newer Lake Country SDO Pads, the price difference is justified, especially when used with forced rotation models like the Flex XCE 10-8 or the Rupes LK900e mille. Lake Country foams are also resistant and easier to clean when using newer high-performance polishes like 3D ACA-XTRA 510 or 3D One Hybrid.

The HDO CCS Pads Are Available in 3 Different Foam Types
- Blue: Designed for maximum cut, scratch, swirl, and oxidation removal. Perfect for quick paint defect corrections.
- Orange: Medium cut, removal of medium paint defects with good finishing.
- Black: Black finishing, very soft foam for high-gloss polishes and for applying and processing waxes and sealants.
