Another key technology supplied by Lake Country is CCS, which stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The surface of CCS pads features small pocketed areas, where the interior exhibits a closed cell structure, even though the pad foam is otherwise open-pored. This allows for more efficient polish usage, as the polish penetrates the pocket but does not saturate the pad, enabling a longer working time. Simultaneously, the cell structure benefits from better cooling, preventing the pad from drying out due to polish residues. With the new HDO CCS Pads, both technologies are available in a single pad series. Lake Country foams are also resistant and easier to clean when using newer high-performance polishes such as 3D ACA-XTRA 510 or 3D One Hybrid.
