A key technology from Lake Country is CCS, which stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The surface of CCS features small pockets, whose interior consists of a closed cell structure due to a special manufacturing process, while the foam of the polishing pad remains open-pored. This allows for significantly more economical use of polish. The polish penetrates into the pocket without soaking into the pad, allowing for much longer working times. Additionally, the cell structure is better cooled, preventing the pad from drying out due to evaporating polish. With the new HDO CCS pads, both technologies are available in one pad series.
