The wash buckets for hand washing the vehicle are associated with the US manufacturer Grit Guard Inc., but it is not the wash bucket that Grit Guard invented, rather it is their eponymous dirt filter, which prevents the stirring up of dirt particles and thus enables a scratch-resistant to scratch-free hand wash. Grit Guard® wash bucket inserts were developed for standardized US wash buckets and therefore also fit the new wash buckets from Magic Bucket.

3.5 or 5 Gallons: Which size for hand wash wash buckets is recommended?

When deciding on the right size of the wash bucket, many factors have to be considered. Size of the vehicle, type of wash method, frequency of car washing, and not least the space in the car or trunk must be taken into account. Therefore, we cannot provide a fixed recommendation or rule for this question. If you're washing your car at a wash box, you should choose a size that fits in the trunk. We recommend preparing the shampoo water at home or in your own garage and closing the wash bucket with a lid for the trip to the wash box.
