In modern car care, the original Petzoldt's MAGIC-Clean Cleaning Clay® is a well-known term for the gentle cleaning of paints before polishing or applying waxes. To put it upfront, we always recommend at least one polishing step with a medium polish after using cleaning clay. With the MAGIC-Clean Cleaning Clay, you can remove paint mist, color mist, industrial deposits, surface rust, dried tree sap, insect residues, tar, and residues from acid rain, lime spots, brake dust, and iron particles.

Optimized Polishing Results Through Deep Cleaning Before Polishing

To achieve a perfect polishing result, it's essential to thoroughly pre-clean the paint. Deep cleaning is possible with the MAGIC-Clean Cleaning Clay in combination with a paint cleaner that offers good cleaning performance and glide. For Petzoldt's cleaning clay, we recommend the Paint Gloss cleaner from P&S, Optimum No Rinse wash & shine, or CarPro Ech2O. Conventional cleaners or car shampoos are unsuitable as paint cleaners in conjunction with cleaning clay, as they can leave a lubricating film.
